Edgar Allan Poe

Darkness Peering

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

This is an assemblage dedicated to Edgar Allan Poe. I created it with a tin, frame image of Poe, a little wooden house shape, a vintage brass finding, painted wire, bolts and other embellishments.
The wooden house has Poe’s eyes peering from a little mica window and the text “Darkness Peering” from his above quote.
The size is 3 wide by 8.5 long. The work has a wire on the back for easy display.
